Impact Blue taking first-team reps Saturday is not surprising, considering he is the most proven option available among Texas' running backs after CJ Baxter (knee) underwent season-ending surgery less than a week ago. Blue logged 65 carries for 398 yards (6.1 averaged per carry) and three touchdowns during his 2023 season. He also recorded 14 receptions for 137 yards and one TD. Baxter being out for 2024 gives Blue an excellent opportunity to elevate his rushing and receiving output into the next level, making him a likely breakout candidate.
