INJURIES

Solid in no-decision Parker didn't factor into the decision in Friday's extra-inning win over the Angels, allowing two unearned runs on eight hits over 6,1 innings. He struck out five.
Impact Both of Anaheim's runs came on a Jo Adell homer in the second inning following an errant pickoff throw that extended the frame. Parker's now gone at least six innings without allowing an earned run in back-to-back starts. The left-hander's ERA is down to 3.83 with a 1.20 WHIP and 92:29 K:BB across 112.2 innings in his rookie season. Parker's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Phillies in his next outing.
6 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Blanks Brewers Parker (6-6) picked up the win Sunday against Milwaukee, allowing three hits and three walks with three strikeouts across six scoreless innings.
Impact Parker fired his first scoreless start since April, shutting down the Brewers to pick up his first win in eight starts. The outing avenged Parker's poor showing against Milwaukee on July 13 when he allowed five runs in two-thirds of an inning before being yanked. The rookie left-hander has struggled after logging a 3.06 ERA across his first 12 starts, stumbling to a 5.82 ERA in 38.2 innings since. He'll look to keep the ball rolling Friday against the Angels.
AUGUST 5 • ROTOWIRE
No-decision versus Arizona Parker allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks.
Impact Parker was unlucky to take the loss, as the Nationals had an 8-2 lead when he was relieved by Jacob Barnes. This was an improvement for Parker, who had given up at least five runs in three of his four previous starts. The southpaw is now at a 4.31 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 84:26 K:BB through 100.1 innings over 19 starts. He'll look to snap a seven-start winless skid in his next outing, which is projected to come at home versus the Brewers this weekend.

JULY 30 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles against Padres Parker (5-6) allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over three innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Wednesday.
Impact The six runs allowed were a season high for Parker, who has given up at least four runs in four of his last six starts. He struggled in his last outing before the All-Star break and labored through his three frames Wednesday as well. The rookie southpaw is now at a 4.34 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 81:24 K:BB through 95.1 innings over 18 starts this year. Outside of a modest strikeout rate (7.6 K/9), there's nothing glaringly wrong with Parker's performance, so he'll simply need to do a better job of run prevention as he works through the grind of a full major-league season. Parker's next start is projected to be at Arizona.
JULY 25 • ROTOWIRE
Padres rough up Mitchell Parker and hammer the Nats again After a first half that exceeded expectations, the grind of a 162-game season could be catching up with the Nationals’ young pitching staff.
JULY 25 • WASHINGTONPOST.COM
Tagged for five runs Parker allowed five runs on three hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning in a no-decision Saturday at Milwaukee. He struck out two.
Impact The rookie left-hander gave up just one earned run over seven innings during his previous outing, but he was unable to make it out of the opening frame Saturday. It's the first time through 17 starts that Parker has failed to complete at least four innings, and the poor showing ballooned his ERA by nearly half a run. The 25-year-old still heads into the All-Star break with a quality 3.90 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 76:19 K:BB across 92.1 innings.
JULY 14 • ROTOWIRE
Fans six in loss Parker (5-5) took the loss Monday against the Cardinals, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out six.
Impact After pitching to a 5.82 ERA across 17 innings over his last three outings, Parker looked much sharper against St. Louis, tossing his sixth quality start of the season. The Washington rookie yielded just one extra-base hit -- a 415-foot solo shot to Paul Goldschmidt in the fourth. Although the 24-year-old southpaw hasn't tallied a win since June 16, he has been a dependable starter overall with a 3.44 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 74:19 K:BB across 91.2 innings. Parker is tentatively scheduled to pitch against the Brewers on the road in his next start this weekend.

Yields five runs in no-decision Parker allowed five runs on five hits and no walks while striking out five batters in a no-decision against the Mets on Wednesday.
Impact Parker allowed only five batters to get on base, but all of those reached on an extra-base hit, and three hitters went deep against the rookie. It was just the second time through 15 starts that Parker has allowed multiple homers in an outing and the first time he's given up three long balls. The southpaw's five earned runs were a season-high mark, but he still owns a respectable 3.61 ERA through 84.2 innings.
JULY 4 • ROTOWIRE
Jacob Young and Mitchell Parker lift the Nats to a sweep of the Marlins Young slugged his first major league home run in his 93rd game, and Parker allowed one run in six innings of a 3-1 victory.
JUNE 16 • WASHINGTONPOST.COM
Six strong innings Parker (5-3) picked up the win Sunday against Miami, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks while striking out four over six innings.
Impact Parker's excellent rookie season continued as he turned in another quality start, his fourth over his past six games. During that span, the southpaw has pitched to a 3.03 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP and a 25:8 K:BB across 35.2 innings. While Parker doesn't typically post high-strikeout totals, he has been remarkably consistent all season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in all 12 of his starts. He will look to keep the success going in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend at Coors Field.
