Marshawn Kneeland - Continues to shine in camp Kneeland has gotten the attention of both coaches and teammates for his work ethic and drive to improve in training camp, Nick Harris of DallasCowboys.com reports. Impact Selected in the second round of the 2024 Draft due to his athleticism rather than his production at Western Michigan, Kneeland has been thrust into a bigger role in the Cowboys' edge rotation due to Sam Williams' season-ending knee injury, but the rookie is rising to the challenge. "Marshawn's been great in camp," defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer said. "He's working real hard on some of the pass rush stuff, because I don't think he was as efficient in doing that. He's been great against the run. He's a worker and I think he's going to continue to work." Teammate Micah Parsons was just as effusive in his praise, and threw out the name of an eight-time Pro Bowler as a comp for Kneeland's upside. "I think he's going to be a great player," Parsons said. "I'm giving him comps, I think he's a young Cameron Jordan. I think he has the talent and ability. He's just so hungry every day, willing to learn and he has that dog in him. He has unteachable characteristics." Even Jordan only recorded 1.0 sack in 16 games as a rookie in 2011 though, so while Kneeland could see a bigger workload than Dallas planned this season, he's unlikely to make a big impact from an IDP perspective.
