Matt Milano - Diagnosed with torn biceps Milano has been diagnosed with a torn biceps and will undergo surgery with hope of returning late in the 2024 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Impact Schefter suggests that returning in December might be a reasonable goal for Milano, whose 2023 campaign ended Week 5 when he suffered a fractured leg. At least the coaches have to be happy with Davis' ability to snag some passes for decent yardage out of the backfield. The rookie fourth-rounder out of Kentucky is currently battling veteran Ty Johnson for the No. 2 running back role behind James Cook. Johnson returned to practice from a hamstring injury Monday, so expect each of the two players to see meaningful carries during the team's last two preseason games, at which point the depth chart should become more clear. Darrynton Evans and undrafted rookie Frank Gore are also both in the mix.

The veteran wideout's best NFL campaign came in 2020 with New England, when he caught 47 passes for 604 yards and a touchdown. Byrd also has experience as a kick and punt returner, though most of his work in that capacity came early in his career. He joins a Buffalo wide-receiver room that looks dramatically different than last season due to the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.

Impact With Shane Buechele set to miss extended time due to a neck injury he sustained in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears, the Bills will bring in DiNucci to serve as the third quarterback behind Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky.
